The Community Plaza is available for rent for wedding receptions, family reunions, birthday or graduation parties, and other gatherings.
A square dance club and other dancers find the Plaza a great place to play. Call 283-1105 for details.

Several City Parks offer children's playgrounds and picnic areas. Oelwein City Park has campgrounds and a lake offering fishing, canoeing and swimming.

A paved hiking/biking trail is available and will soon be extended to connect to all parks in town.
Tennis courts, a skateboard rink, and softball diamonds are located at Wings Park. One beautiful 9-hole golf course is available in the southeast part of town. Our Sports Complex offers lighted baseball, softball and soccer fields.
